  • Then Click on Know your Jurisdiction option available under the services Tab.
  • Then Enter your Permanent Account Number or PAN.
  • Finally, enter the captcha code as shown in the image and then click on submit.

If the information given by you matches with the IT database, then you will see your Full name, Jurisdiction, AO Code, Jurisdiction, PAN, etc. If it’s not correct, then fill the form again, it will work.

PAN Card Verification through Name

  • Firstly, open the official IT Dept website.
  • Click on login and enter login credentials and captcha code then click on Login.
  • Now, click on Know your PAN provided under the services section.
  • Enter your Surname/ Lastname, Middle name, and First name.
  • Enter the Captcha code as shown in the image to prove that you are human.
  • Finally, click on submit.

Documents required by a Hindu Undivided Family(HUF) for PAN Application

HUF is primarily a unit which consists of joint business in which the family business is being shared between the family members. This type of unit is required because income is shared between the individuals so the income tax is assigned to the whole unit. For HUF, only a single PAN is been shared between the whole unit. Here the some of the documents are to be submitted in order to apply for PAN. All the Hindu Undivided Families have to appoint a Karta who will take care of all the official protocols on behalf of HUF. The Documents required by HUF are all same as Citizen of India.

In addition to that, they have to submit some additional documents
– A statement which is being signed by the Karta of the HUF starting with the name, father’s name, and address of all the HUF members.

  1. Sources of Income: Select your Source of Income correctly. In case, you earn money from multiple sources, select multiple sources.
  2. Address of Communication: Now you have to select whether you can to connect with NSDL through the office or residential address.
  3. Office/ Residental Address: Enter your office as well as your Residence address properly.
  4. Telephone and Email ID: You phone number and Email ID will be displayed automatically, but you can edit it if you want.
  5. Representative Assessee: Select yes or no, as per your requirement. If yes, enter Assessee name and address correctly.

4. AO Code

5. Document Details

Name Portion

  1. Full Name: Enter your Last name, First name, and Middle name.
  2. Name on Card: It will be automatically filled, in case you want to change you can do it.
  3. Have you been known by another name?
    If you are known by another name then select yes and enter the name.
  4. Gender: Male/Female.
  5. Date of Birth: Enter your date in the DD/MM/YYYY Format.
  6. Details of Parents: Applying as an Individual, then Enter your Mother as well as Father’s name. If you are a Married lady, then you have to enter the name of your father.

Address Portion

  1. Address: Enter your Residential Adress as well as your Office address perfectly.
  2. Address of Communication: Select the Address where you want to deliver your PAN Card.
  3. Telephone Number: Enter your working Telephone Number.
  4. Email ID: Enter your Original Email ID.
  5. Aadhar Number: If you have Aadhar Card, then enter your Aadhar Number.
  6. Are you Citizen of India?: Select yes, if you are Citizen of India or else select No.

Income Portion

Source of Income: Select the source of Income from the list. If you have multiple sources of Income, then select Multiple Income Sources.

Representative Portion

Representative Assessee: If the form is filled by Representative Assessee, then select Title and then Enter the Address properly.

Identity, Address, DOB Proof

Here select the Appropriate Document that you are going to submit has a proof of your Identity, Address, and DOB proof.

Verification Proof

Now here if you have filled by form by yourself, then select Himself/Herself. If you haven’t filled yourself, select the best option from the given drop down menu.Lastly, Enter the Verifier’s Name and Place and then click on Submit.Now you have to pay Rs 107 as the processing fee. You can pay via Debit card, Credit card or by Net Banking.
